ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION AND OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF REGISTERED POULTRY FARMS IN KADUNA METROPOLIS

ABSTRACT
This study examined the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the operational performance of registered
poultry farms in Kaduna Metropolis. The study took a sample size of 476 Poultry Farmers operating within
Kaduna Metropolis. The study collected data in a cross-sectional survey. PLS-SEM via smart PLS 2.0 M3
software path modelling was employed to analyze the data. The study found that dimensions of
entrepreneurial orientation (proactiveness, innovativeness and risk taking) have significant positive effect
on operational performance of registered poultry farms. Thus, the study conclude that entrepreneurial
orientation has significant effect on operational performance of registered poultry farms in Kaduna
metropolis. The study recommends that poultry farmers should make minor adjustments to their products
in order to improve their operational Performance.
